On the 14th of February Tom and Francesca will be setting off on an intrepid voyage from Bath to Marrakech. Our mission: to convey your donations 4000 miles across France, Spain and Morocco, to support Enfants du Désert in their goal to ensure every child in Southern Morocco has access to a good education. How will we do it? Enter “Felicia”, our trusty Renault 4.
The route will take us across the Atlas mountains and into the Sahara desert before winding up in the historic city of Marrakech for the handover of donations and the long journey home (yes we have to drive back too!)
The terrain doesn’t come much tougher than this, especially for a tiny two-wheel-drive car designed in the sixties! It will be very challenging but we won’t be completely alone – over 1000 Renault 4s make the journey each year and we’re always prepared for the worst with a spare roll of duct tape and our trusty wire coathangers!
